You may see a decrease in acne breakouts if you limit your iodine intake to the daily requirement. If you are a coffee drinker:
- Avoid dairy and soy
- Choose almond, coconut or hemp milk free of the thickening ingredient called carrageenan. Carrageenan is substance extracted from red and purple seaweeds, which are high in iodine.
- Limit coffee intake to just one cup
- Consider herbal tea as a healthy alternative to coffee or as a healthy skin alternative
- Avoid or limit sugar
