Acne Prone? Skip the dairy and soy
Cheese, milk, ice-cream, sour-cream and that daily Latte if you are looking to keep your acne under control. Concerned about calcium and vitamin D? Eat lots of dark green veggies and talk to your doctor or pharmacist about supplements with calcium citrate, magnesium and vitamin D.
Acne safe alternatives are naturally good-tasting almond, cashew, coconut, hemp or rice milk. Soy milk is processed to taste better but contains hormones, sugar and fat. Soy is also difficult to digest and is high in iodine so not an appropriate alternative if you are acne prone. There are plenty of vegan choices for milk, cheese, cream cheese and sour cream.
